Database Design and Support
Since 1999 I have performed database design and tuning, data migration and scrubbing (ETL), and database recovery. The industries I have worked within include financial, medical and manufacturing. The databases have been both traditional applications and data warehouses.
Xcelera
Xcelera is a Philips Healthcare product designed to improve clinical workflow by providing a single access point for advanced clinical applications, multi-modality images and reports. It interfaces with advanced quantification tools within a broad spectrum of modules, suitable for multiple cardiovascular specialties.
As part of the Xcelera database development team from 2003 to 2008, my primary responsibilities included developing and implementing the tooling to migrate the Xcelera database from one version to the next. I also supported Xcelera customers world wide when they had severe database problems. Other projects included merging two Xcelera systems into one as well as recovering finalized reports after extreme database corruption when recent database backups were not available.
